The Colorado Secretary of State adjusted the non-economic caps for inflation for cases accruing on or after January 1, 2020, link attached. Recap on newly adjusted caps: dram shop claims – $368,260; standard non-economic cap (excluding medical malpractice) – $613,760; raised non-economic cap re: clear and convincing evidence (excluding medical malpractice) – $1,227,530; non-economic damages for wrongful death (excluding felonious killing) – $571,870; solatium for wrongful death – $114,370.
