The team at SGR has been working diligently all year to obtain excellent results for our clients.

SGR Obtained the Following Results In July of 2023:

Tiffaney Norton and William “Liam” Logan recently obtained a defense verdict in Denver District Court in a commercial auto case with a claimed traumatic brain injury and a final pre-trial demand of $4.1 million.

Jon Eddy received a decision from the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals affirming the lower court granting summary judgment in a governmental entity case.

Tiffany Toomey obtained dismissal on a motion to dismiss related to state court immunity issues.

Gabe Cutter obtained summary judgment in a premises liability case in Adams County.

SGR Results in June of 2023:

Art Kutzer obtained a favorable verdict in an auto case where the Plaintiff asked the jury to award $3 million. The jury awarded the Plaintiff the incurred medicals plus $6,000 for a total award of less than $60,000. The jury determined that a designated non-party at fault was 49% liable to further reduce the award.

Tiffaney Norton obtained a decision affirming dismissal of a case against an attorney with fees and costs awarded on appeal after the opposing party’s Petition for Certiorari was denied.

May, 2023 SGR Results:

Billy-George Hertzke and Natalie Norcutt obtained a favorable result at a trial in Denver District Court in an auto-pedestrian accident where the Plaintiff was determined to have 35% liability and the verdict was well under the amount demanded before trial.

Results from April of 2023:

Billy-George and Natalie Norcutt obtained a defense verdict in a first-party bad faith claim in Federal Court. in Colorado. The Plaintiff asserted seven figures in damages, including medical care, bad faith, statutory damages, and attorney fees.

March, 2023 Results:

Tiffany Toomey obtained summary judgment in federal court in an officer case.

Lori Hulbert successfully appealed a child custody case to the Colorado Court of Appeals where the determination made by the trial court was overturned.

Results from February of 2023:

Tiffaney Norton obtained a decision from the Colorado Court of Appeals affirming the trial court granting summary judgment in a defamation case.

Tiffaney Norton obtained summary judgment in a defamation case in Elbert County District Court.
