Background
Cody was born and raised in Colorado and is a proud native of the Centennial State. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology, from Colorado State University, followed by his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm School of Law.
During law school, Cody was the President of the Intellectual Property Law Society, Summer Interned at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, participated in the semester in practice program at a local Denver law firm, and conducted faculty led research projects.
After law school, before joining SGR Cody worked at several local Denver law firms where, in addition to his already discovered passion for Intellectual Property, he learned of his passion for Civil Litigation and participating in Alternative Dispute Resolution where he now prides himself in achieving favorable and equitable outcomes for his clients.
Cody is licensed to practice law in all Colorado state courts, The United States District for The District of Colorado, and as a Patent Attorney before The United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Outside of his legal practice, Cody enjoys fishing, hiking, skiing, mountain biking and boating.
